Old-Fashioned Apple Peeler

This Old-Fashioned Apple Peeler is just like the one you played with at your grandma’s house. OK, maybe not YOUR grandma’s house, depending on how old you are (apparently, I’m an old fart).

If you’ve never seen one of these, it’s an old-fashioned device used to peel, core and even slice apples, potatoes, and other fruits/veggies. Believe it or not, using one of these not only makes the normally monotonous chore of peeling spuds quick but also kinda fun.

The old versions were made of cast iron so they were heavy. This version is made of lightweight but strong magnesium so it’s much easier to get setup for use, tear down, and clean. It uses a suction cup to attach to your table or counter top so you can easily put it away when not in use.

If you’re still on the fence about getting one, I have five words for you…. “Make your own curly fries.” If that doesn’t make you want one, nothing will.
