The ThinCase is not just a really thin iPhone Battery Case. It’s also a cool kickstand AND it fixes Apple’s mistake of removing the 3.5 mm audio jack from the iPhone 7 line. I don’t know who thought that was a good idea.
Oh yeah, the AirPods $ales team. That’s right…
Anyway, the built-in 3,000 mAh battery will double the life of your iPhone between charges. All the while providing drop protection for your expensive iPhone. It also has an integral 3.5 mm audio jack so you can go back to using your comfortable, wired headphones and stop worrying about losing your expensive AirPods.
It uses a pass-through charging mechanism so you charge your phone and the external battery at the same time. No need to charge them separately like some other external battery cases require.
There are versions for the iPhone 6, 6S, 6+, 6S+, 7 and 7+ so you can use it with your newer model Apple phone.
In my opinion, the extra battery and the 3.5 mm jack is cool but, I really like the innovative kickstand design. Instead of a flimsy plastic foot, it uses a ring design to rotate the entire outside edge of the case around to form the kickstand. That’s pretty cool even if it only works in portrait mode. Although, I guess you could lay it on it’s side for landscape viewing.
It’s currently being funded on Indiegogo but, it has already met it’s goal with 18 days left (at the time of this writing). So, if you want one of these cases as soon as possible, you’d better hurry up and visit the project page to back it.
The first batch is expected to ship by June of this year.
